The Sustainable Sites Initiative focuses on urbanism, represented by the area from the building’s façade to the site boundary. It was created by the USGBC (U.S. Sustainable Building Council) and is managed by the GBCI (Green Business Certification Inc).

Its objective is to protect and restore ecosystems, in addition to generating spaces that improve people’s quality of life. This system evaluates criteria such as:
