Our story
Founded on the belief that buildings can — and should — perform better
Green Loop was founded in 2009 by Esteban Martínez and Diego Bello, both architects and civil engineers, with a shared vision of applying engineering and sustainability to improve the performance of the built environment.
From the very beginning, Green Loop was built on a clear conviction: transforming the construction industry and decarbonizing businesses requires more than good intentions. It requires intelligence, data, and engineering-driven solutions that work in the real world.
What started as a focused effort on green building evolved into an engineering and strategy firm supporting organizations across the full lifecycle of their assets. Over the years, Green Loop has worked across regions and sectors, helping clients improve performance, enhance comfort, manage risk, and make better long-term decisions.
Along this journey, more than 150 professionals have been part of Green Loop — engineers, architects, consultants, and curious minds who contributed their talent and passion to shape what the company is today. United by a shared purpose, each one left a mark and carried forward a genuine belief that sustainability is a real, long-term commitment.
Many of them now lead teams in other organizations, have built their own companies, or continue driving change from different roles across the industry. They carried with them a piece of Green Loop’s culture: the desire to turn knowledge into action, and ideas into measurable impact.
Because behind every project there are people — professionals and dreamers — who believe that sustainability is not just a goal to achieve, but a way of thinking and working. For us, true impact is not measured only by the projects we have advised or certified, but by the people we have shaped, the ideas we have grown together, and the mindset that continues to expand beyond Green Loop.
Today, our purpose remains the same: to apply engineering rigor and strategic thinking to create efficient, healthy environments — and to help organizations do things better, not just differently.
