Even within the limits of interior design, sustainability can deliver measurable and strategic impact.

The Unilever project, developed by Arquint Colombia S.A.S. at the Paralelo 108 business center in Bogotá, shows how an interiors-focused scope can translate into high environmental performance. With the goal of achieving LEED ID+C certification, the client aimed to optimize building systems within the constraints of interior design.

Green Loop led the LEED consulting, commissioning, and energy modeling, ensuring every design decision contributed to overall performance. The project incorporated key strategies such as high-efficiency fixtures, achieving approximately 34% water savings, along with LED lighting that delivered a 54% reduction in energy use.

Additionally, VRF systems were implemented in critical areas such as the data center, improving cooling efficiency, and a 30% increase in outdoor air was introduced to enhance indoor air quality and enable strategies like free cooling.

As a result, the project achieved 35.68% water efficiency and 18.6% energy efficiency, demonstrating that even interior interventions can generate significant impact when approached with an integrated strategy. A project that proves sustainability is not defined by the size of the scope, but by the quality of the decisions.
